Who am I? (An Existential Crisis)

Hi! I’m Zoe, the founder of Zoehify, an online resale store based in Toronto. Welcome to my humble online abode.

Here you’ll find designer pieces and well-made vintage, chosen with an eye for quality. From vintage to contemporary, each piece is selected for its style and composition, with a focus on natural fibres such as wool, silk and cashmere. Zoehify is about the feeling: I want you to feel good in your clothes, and good about how they came to you.

I grew up in Hong Kong, and my university years in Montreal and Sydney left a lasting mark on my style. I’m fascinated by how much ‘cool’ varies from one country to the next, and I love tracking those niche trends. My own taste leans toward the bohemian, slightly undone elegance of Chloé and Isabel Marant, with a weakness for fringe, bandana prints and a touch of cowboy. I’m also devoted to ’90s minimalism and 2000s French and Italian labels.

There is power in presentation, so don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. I started Zoehify as a way to help people quit fast fashion while still getting to dress exactly how they want. I say ‘quit’ fast fashion because I’ve been there too, and it is an addiction. I no longer buy it new, and I won’t sell it either: its labour practices are exploitative and its environmental toll is steep. My job is to matchmake you, yes you, darling reader, with clothes you can cherish, in sickness and in health, for better and for worse.

Every piece I rescue from landfill gets a second chance, and with the right care it will last. Hopefully it will be love at second sight. Someone worked hard to grow and weave these materials, and clothing should never be disposable. Every dollar you spend is a vote for what you believe in.

Everything here is sourced by me - in Canada and on my travels - and I cannot wait to share it with you.
